With the ongoing crisis affecting Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh, relief aid was distributed to displaced individuals residing in refugee camps. Over 700 blankets, 200 shawls, and 350 pieces of children’s clothing were provided to address their immediate needs. The funds utilized for this aid effort will benefit a community of over 5,650 families, including a significant number of widows who are among the most vulnerable individuals in this crisis.
WF-AID provided blankets to 200 families in Ezbit Beit Hanoun, a border town located in the northern region of the Gaza Strip. The distribution of these blankets has been instrumental in providing warmth and comfort to families who have lost their safety and livelihood.
Amidst the harsh winter in Kargil, WF-AID stepped forward to provide crucial assistance to 117 Sadaat families by supplying them with much-needed firewood for fuel and heating. This aid effort was aimed at alleviating the tremendous suffering experienced by these families, who often struggle to make ends meet during the cold winter season.
Across Lebanon, WF-AID ground partners distributed various forms of aid. Food vouchers, warm clothing, blankets, and heaters with gas refills were given to struggling families in Beirut, Tyr, Nabateyi, Bint Jbeil and Marjeyoun. Our aid reached 614 families across Lebanon.
In response to the harsh winter conditions faced by families in Kathmandu, WF-AID has provided 32 families with blankets to help keep them warm and comfortable during the cold nights. Over 50,710 families were provided with blankets or quilts in the following regions: Sindh, Punjab, Islamabad and Baltistan. With unwavering courage and selflessness, our ground partners braved treacherous terrain, crossing perilous bridges suspended over frigid rivers, all to deliver the vital warmth that our beneficiaries so desperately needed.

In Yemen, WF-AID has distributed 1,200 blankets to 600 families in Sana’a, Imran and Hodeid, as destitute families are struggling to survive during the harsh winter season.
